Suggestions:
1. Have a detective party where kids all get a magnifying glass and look for
clues in the store/library.
2. If your town has a R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dog Program),
invite the children to read their favorite “Penny and Rio” book to a
visiting dog.
3. Use paw prints on the ground to lead the children to where the book reading
will take place.
4. Use music to enhance the book reading;
for example, you could use “Who Let the Dogs Out” by Baha Men or at
Christmas time, the barking dogs song, “Jingle Dogs”.
