Homeschool or Library Visits

As a children’s author, I would love to visit your library  or homeschool group to participate in your storytime hour.

I have developed a 20-minute interactive program where I introduce myself and my characters and then ask the children to participate in the reading of my book.  I encourage the children to “yawn” as Rio does, to “bark” and “dig” as Penny does throughout the book.

At the end of the reading I spend time talking to the children about my real dogs that inspired the story and how everyone has a story inside them.  Finally, I discuss with the children the basics of creating a story: beginning, middle, end. (This can be expanded for older children.  See my School Visits  program.

I close the program by handing out coloring pages and bookmarks to all the children that attend.  If your homeschool group or library allows, I would also offer books for purchase.

My program is designed for preschoolers and up.  But, I have entertained children as young as 2 with my program, so all ages can be invited.

For more information or to schedule a visit, please email me.
